Hello, Maybe of you know me because of my three positions i worked with the development team.
I wanted to write my review of the game after 8 months of not playing.
Short version :
Weapons are doing way to much damage
Agility of attack ship is way to low (not speed, But turn rate, etc).
Lack of validity (value) in Regenerative shielding builds
Weapons are still doing way to much damage.
The max damage they are doing needs to be changed, in general More accuracy, but less damage.
The new designs of the weapons are excellent, but in general their statistical values are out of balance.
The Game is suffering greatly from bad Agility balance. Interceptors are going around others at current spead is ok for a frigate,
but not for an attack ship. The entire purpose of the attack ship was to counter the interceptor, and cannot do so because of the loss
of agility vs the interceptor class.
On top of this, the damage rate of the intercept is way to high. They are zipping around killing.
To balance this they need faster capture rates, and excelling at capping the beacons faster, as well
as capturing the emp bombs. This will improve their value at capture point capture but decrease combat
anyone telling the developing team they must make the interceptor better in combat, should be ignored
because these people who want to go fast and kill things while zipping around are destroying the games
content, they are morons and should be ignored.
Regenerative shieldings has been a focal point i am focusing on for a while now.
The regeneration rate needs to be reworked.
At current there are two options, I think Option B is the best
Option a, is to reduce the HP of interceptors to 500 max.
Reduce the shielding of them to 1500, But increase their regeneration to
500-600 per a second. This way two or three well timed shots will kill an interceptor
but the dodging effect will play an important part (skill) in the survival time of interceptors.
Option B is to increase the base regeneration of attackships by another 100-150 Shield/s.
This will make them fairly more tanky vs interceptors, and the slight improvement they validity
of regeneration builds on attackships.
Regeneration itself is not broken at rates of ever 1200 / s. Its when it is build with 200 Resistances
that it becomes really bad.
I personally believe the tackler should be really focused on heavy regeneration, this makes them the ultimate counter to interceptors, Something they game badly needs for balance.
