Frigate Problem

I really feel at the moment that the frigate is just out of the game design.

I propose a big change to its concept, and the other ships to keep the game fast pace.

I think that the mass of the ships should be reduced, as follows

Interceptor 75mt

attackship 225mt

frigate 325mt

this will allow the game to be fast pace, give a slower version of the ceptor, each tier increasing in damage. the idea of support frigate is just not working. we should consider a pure-healing class ship, that does not damage, but locks on friendly ships and heals, with a passive-ship skill (like the frigate missile, snipergun etc) that reduces directed healing abilities cooldown to 5 and their energy cost by 50%

I can disagree with your opinion. Frigate is a distance damage dealer at the moment, with some ability to enhance allies.

Thank you for your reply. Why do you disagree? Do you not feel that the slow pace frigate, is lowing the fast combat in game?

Why does the frigate need to be a long range damage dealer? As i understand the frigate is a support ship, that everyone is using for a sniper ship. maybe its time for a change.

I think that pure-support class won’t be interesting to play. At the moment we have fast and maneuverable interceptors for those who like fast combat and slow but mighty frigates for range assisting and team-supporting for those who can’t use interceptors or don’t like fast combat.

Slow Yes, Mighty… Not so much.

the interceptors can kill frigates easy, and the only way frigates can kill interceptors is by 1) nuking themselves 2) Using jericho missile to kill them by detonating right when the missile is lauched.

So frigate = not fiting in, can use to be smaller.

Can kill - yes, easy - not every time, depends on frigate fit, frigate pilot and frigate teammates.

I agree that frigate is weak in close combat. But close combat attackships’ mission.

Frigate is very powerfull class if it used correctly, for example, my frigate could fry enemy interceptor in 3 seconds at more than 5km distance.

I think that the only frigate problem is that frigate is a primary target for enemy team players.

the fact that the frigate can do this, is a problem. it should kill faster then others, not fast.

this will cause people to rage-quit the game, and then to trash/bad talk it. we need to fix this problem, before the game is regcognized to be bad.

for example, if ships killed in 15-20 hits, rather then 2-3, its better, more balance, you rely on skill to win a battle, not overpowered damage numbers. the way it is now is very bad/poor, and will need to change if the game wants to succeed.

Most of weapon satisfies the condition of 15-20 hits. Weapon, that kills in several hits, to be used needs some sort of improved skills or this weapon useful only in specific battle situations.

its not the case with heavy weapons, they need a nerf, but i feel that most should kill 20-25 and the heavy’s 15-20.

this would put most weapon damage (impact value on gun) at 150-180, and heavy weapons at impact damage around 240-260
