I was thinking about the way to make the game make money.
Generally, cash shop games make items that are over-powered, that ruin the game and cause it to collapse after 1-3 years. I am hoping this game will be around much longer, and much more successful.
When we look at cash shop games, the ones that do not follow this behavior are often successful, and last a long time, as well as become “corporation starters” Ie they make 250-500million a year if not more.
League of legends is a great example of this, making 350-400million a year, only on graphical upgrades, and things that are more “style” then “power”
as a result i encourage the developers to take this route, to prevent the game from dying in a year or two, and make it more successful. To start this off, i have a few idea’s.
The greatest idea i have now, is custom races. Races that don’t belong to the other 3. Each race will cost 7500 CS, and will grant access to unique technologies, and ships.
Here is the first race’s idea.
This race is based around cloaking, and biological armor.
This race does not have shielding, but its armor regenerates must like passive shield regen in the game. this armor regeneration naturally by 3.5% of the ships armor HP amount (No module required) and can be increased by modules.
this race uses a new type of weapon “disruptors”
A sort of beam, that is high-energy, but high cooldown medium range (3.2k-3.8k). Disruptor beams can be fitted with a special module (weapon upgrade) that allows it to pierce 10% of its damage through shielding to armor Examples of the races technology
- Heavy Disruptor beam
- Thermal damage
- Impact 360
- Rof 40
- range: 3.4km
- Heating 10 seconds.
Biological Armor
Increases hull regeneration by 320 every 5 seconds.
NOTE: because of the nature of this race, it will have no shields, and higher armor amounts. note, this races high armor amounts does not greatly effect its speed.
Another race idea i had was of a crystalline race, that has another unique type of armor. As well as a unique type of weapon, that shoots large crystal balls, that pierce shielding dealing 10% of the weapons damage to hull. these weapons are also mid to mid-long range.

highly accurate, fast rate of fire, fate projectile speed, overheats in 3-4 shots (Weapons are met to be shot in bursts of up to 3; Holding it down will over heat the weapon)
Crystaline armor
55% of damage taken is absorbed back into shielding.
NOTE: because of the nature of this race, it will have near equal hp/shield amount on its ships
